Remixes are nothing new, and generally, when a new artist catches momentum with a track, they provide a handful of versions. We’ve seen this over and over through the years. This time around, though, Saweetie gets some new lyrical friends to jump on the infectious single.
This “My Type (Remix)” finds Saweetie pairing up with French Montana, Wale, and Tiwa Savage, bringing a new feel to the track and some new bars. This remix arrives following versions with Jhené Aiko x City Girls and Becky G x Melli. The third version finds some of today’s biggest stars joining in on the action, supplying their lyrical prowess on top of the contagious instrumental. While Saweetie’s verse stays the same, French, Tiwa, and Wale all bring a dose of their respective abilities. The result is something energetic, contagious, and impressive.
