Seasonal Elevation | The North Face Japan x SPIBER Moon Parka

The North Face has a reputation for crafting brilliant, functional, stylish outerwear. Built durable and with a nod toward functionality, unveils a new iteration of the Moon Parka. The North Face is back with something special, pairing up with Japanese textile research company SPIBER. The two have joined forces once again, unleashing a new iteration of the Moon Parka. The design was first unveiled back in 2015 and officially released in 2016. Now the Moon Parka returns, created with a minimal carbon footprint.

The design is versatile enough for the arctic climate or city life. The synthetic spider silk of the original has been replaced with a textile that boasts layers of film that provide a moisture-permeable, waterproof and warm construction. The North Face notes that the fabric has been put through countless strenuous tests to ensure maximum durability and reliability.

The parka comes inspired by the mantra of “DO MORE WITH LESS”. The layered design comes in a tonal “Moon Gold” color. The jacket includes a dual zipper closure, two pockets and a co-branded patch inside the neck and on the left sleeve. The inside features an image of the Earth printed atop the black lining. Two more pockets and toggles for adjusting the hood are located internally.

Take a look at the all-new Moon Parka in the images below and head over to Spiber to find out more. The Moon Parka is only available through lottery entry; good luck! Keep it locked for more from the world of style and streetwear coming soon.
