In this unprecedented time, the newest version of hero has emerged. The essential worker has stood for us for far longer than we have realized. And now Reebok is giving them something to stand in, thanks to the newly launched #ReebokLove program. Through the company’s new program, individuals can nominate someone they want to thank for their service on the frontline of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Whether it’s a healthcare professional, a local grocery store clerk, police officer, postal worker, delivery person, or other essential workers, anyone can nominate someone they know starting May 1,” Reebok stated of the project. Several of the nominees will be chosen by the brand to receive a free pair Reeboks. Recipients will be selected based on the label’s discretion.
That’s not the love Reebok is sharing. In addition to the shoes, they are also donating $10,000 USD to support TheMoveMeantFoundation’s Covid-19 Relief Fund, which benefits fitness teachers and instructors. $2 USD for every item purchased over $20 will be donated to help the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund created by the World Health Organization.
