The Manana Lakehouse is a contemporary take on a cabin retreat. Situated on the waterfront in Austin, Texas, this unique home features a simple yet striking design that appeals to many.
The Manana Lakehouse is comprised of two gabled volumes that are connected with a glazed walkway. The exterior has that classic cabin vibe, thanks in part to the cedar cladding and metal roof. The rural camp-inspired outside is contrasted by a bright, modern interior that is welcoming and cozy. The walls are white, washed by ample sunlight thanks to the floor-to-ceiling glazing found in the living areas.
The home is detailed with bright-colored tiles and retro furniture while taking full advantage of the surrounding scenery. The glazing allows the interior and exterior to seamlessly come together. The rows and walls of windows provide views of the lakeshore and allow natural light to flood the space.
