Simply Stunning | The Mountain Refuge Prefab Cabin

Who wouldn’t want to escape to a cabin in the woods right about now? We wouldn’t mind, and today we get a look at a perfect way to do so. Today, we look at The Mountain Refuge prefab cabin designed by Italy-based architects, Paolo Danesi and Massimo Gnocchi. The cabin is still in its conceptual phase, but it comes crafted from wooden modules with their own self-contained structures. This allows the modules to be pieced together in a variety of layouts.

The design also allows the modules to be airlifted by helicopter and dropped on-site in the outdoors. The fully-assembled units can be placed in remote settings where traditional construction would be complicated. The cabin is designed to enhance connection with the natural surroundings, offering a unique place to escape reality in the process. The Mountain Refuge features five-sided floor-to-ceiling windows on its forward and rear faces. The design also features steep 50˚ roofs for a dramatic look and added volume inside.

More information about the project will be released soon as it gets closer to coming to market. Take a closer look at The Mountain Refuge in the images below and head over to here to find out more immediately. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more modern architecture and design coming very soon.
