Small But Capable | Audi Unveils RS Q3 Mini-SUV

Audi has apparently grown sick of being considered a grocery-getting fancy mom brand, and they’re letting everybody know it. Again, Audi is bringing some serious heat with their latest offerings to the RS line-up. The RS Q3 mini-SUV and a Sportback version are set to light the European roadways on fire. Both versions boast a compact 2.5-liter TFSI engine that produces 394 BHP and 354lb-ft of torque, making 0-60mph a 4.5-second minor inconvenience.

This insanity ridden spec sheet is supported by a seven-speed twin-clutch gearbox and a rally-inspired Audi Quattro all-wheel-drive system from the German manufacturer’s racing roots. Both RS Q3s are electronically limited to 155mph but can be un-limited for speeds up to 174mph. Just in case the Autobahn opens up for you to stretch its legs. The standard Audi RS Q3 is certainly the tamer of the two, but standard seems disrespectful.

It sports a bulkier body kit than previous versions. Also coming in 26kg lighter than before by utilizing a reworked five-cylinder engine. The real Wild child is the Sportback version in “Kyalami Green” though. Rocking a meaner RS look, this iteration is 45mm lower. Boasting a squattier look by lowering the roofline as well. Adding the optional Black Pack exterior detailing and signature oval tailpipes takes either option to another level even more.

Prices for the mini-SUV start at approximately $69,400 USD, while the Sportback version will retail for approximately $71,000 USD. Orders can be placed as of October 2019 in European countries.
