We’ve seen plenty of unique examples of tiny living. We’ve seen prefabricated designs and small structures built from scratch. Today we take a look at a unique design dubbed the “Birdbox” cabin. The Norwegian studio, Livit, created these unique structures. The cabins offer small, prefabricated structures in remote, serene locations. The “Birdbox” cabins were designed for a unique vacation experience.
The structures are simple, boasting a rectangular design. They are host to a set of large circular and oval windows that provide expansive views of their remote settings. The interior is cozy and spacious, rocking enough room for a queen bed and a few chairs. The company is offering two different Birdbox specs: the smaller 10.5’ x 7.2’ x 7.2’ “Mini” and the full-size 16.7’ x 7.87’ x 7.87’ “Medi.” There is also a separate “Birdbox Bathroom,” which features a black tint one-way glass floor-to-ceiling window. The structures are designed to be set on mountain tops and are built to withstand extreme winds and arctic conditions. They even have an option to come delivered with pre-installed solar panels.
As of now, Livit currently has two of its structures available for rent in its native Norway.
