When it comes to mixed drinks, we all have our go-to. If you are anything like us, you enjoy a good Old Fashioned. There is something timeless about that iconic blend, and it’s always a great selection with the right bourbon. Today the creative minds over at New Riff Distilling are back with another new drink recipe. This time around, they put a new twist on the classic Old Fashioned, creating something dubbed the New Fashioned.
This unique blend isn’t your typical drink, which is precisely why we like it. The New Fashioned called for a generous combination of New Riff Bottled in Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon and demerara simple syrup and orange bitters. Add those elements to your mixing glass and stir with some ice. Strain the combination into a rocks glass with ice and garnish with an orange peel and a Luxardo cherry.
The result is something impressive and something you will want plenty more of. However, don’t take our word for it. Make one for yourself and end Summer on a high note.

New Fashioned — You know you’d be drinking one if you were in Louisville.
2 oz New Riff Bottled in Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon
½ oz demerara simple syrup*
2 dashes of orange bitters
Add bourbon, demerara syrup, bitters and ice into a mixing glass. Stir, then strain into a rocks glass with ice. Garnish with an orange peel and a Luxardo cherry.
