Sound x Function | Sony’s WI-1000XM2 Noise-Canceling Earbuds

Chances are, if you’re flying without earbuds it was an accident. Those or headphones have become as vital as a boarding pass in the air travel checklist. However, has a pair been built specifically for the task at hand? There was nobody for the task than Sony and the WI-1000XM2 neckband Noise-Canceling Earbuds. The newest offering from Sony utilizes Dual Noise Sensor technology. Boasting an HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1 that work together to eliminate noisy environments. For air travel, an Atmospheric Pressure Optimising function helps reduce ambient cabin noise. While 10 hours of battery life keeps you comfortable on long flights.

The WI-1000XM2 also has 9mm dynamic drivers and Balanced Armature drivers. These help to cover a full spectrum of sound. The earbuds also boast Digital Sound Enhancement Engine HX for upscaling compressed music, and virtual assistant support. The noise-canceling experience can be custom-tuned to the user’s preference using the Sony Headphone connect app. This allows for a different level of outside noise based on the activity.

A flight with a kid three rows back calls for a completely different setting than a walk through your favorite park. A podcast at the office doesn’t have to shut your coworkers completely out unless you want it to. The release date is set for sometime in January 2020, just in time for that long flight home after the holidays hopefully. Check out Sony for tech specs, pre-order info, and a release date.
