The good folks over at Bentley are heading back to Pikes Peak this year with some big goals. Looking to add another trophy to the mantle, the iconic automaker is back with a brand new ride that will be ready to rip up the track. Bentley will be going after the Time Attack I record, doing so with the Bentley Continental GT3 Pikes Peak Race Car.
After setting the record for the Production SUV and Production Car in 2018 and 2019, respectively, the company is looking to take things a step further. The Continental GT3 is a full-on race car that was designed specifically for the challenges of Pikes Peak. The vehicle draws power from a 4-liter V8 while fueled by biofuel.
The forward-thinking approach kicks off a research initiative to offer more renewable fuel sources to Bentley customers. The Continental GT3 Pikes Peak Race Car will traverse the 12.5-mile, 156-turn course with goals of taking home the top spot and setting a few records in the process. The 99th Pikes Peak International Hill Climb takes place on June 27th, be sure to check it out.
