The one and only Steve Lacy is back. The artist returns with a brand new single ahead of his forthcoming sophomore album. The new track is entitled “Mercury.” Never one to disappoint, Mr. Lacy serves up another impressive dose of his talents. The track is his first since 2019, though he’s kept busy working with many artists throughout the past few years.
Steve recently opened up about the track with Zane Lowe. The artist stated: “‘Mercury’ was done for like a year. The track was done for a year, and then I didn’t write it till like a couple weeks before we finished the album.” He went on to add, “All of the singles, they all have a dual side, they all switch up, so like ‘Mercury’s’ the first half and then the second half is something else, and then the singles do the same thing.”
“Mercury” is the first single from Steve Lacy’s upcoming album, Gemini Rights, which is slated to arrive this Summer.
