Stop & Stay! Enjoy A One-Night Stay at the ‘Home Alone’ House

Looking to live out your childhood fantasies this holiday season? Well, The original Home Alone house will soon be available to book on Airbnb. Yes, you read that correctly. The news follows the premiere of Disney+‘s reboot Home Sweet Home Alone. The home, located in Chicago, will be open for a one-night stay on December 12 that will cost $25 USD, plus fees. Buzz McCallister, Kevin McCallister’s older brother, played by Devin Ratray, will be the host for up to four guests.

Guests will stay in the house, which is adorned with many photos of Home Alone characters. McCallister stated: “You may not remember me as particularly accommodating.” He goes on to add, “But I’ve grown up, and I’d be happy to share my family home – my pizza, even – with you this holiday season. Just try not to let my tarantula, Axl, loose this time.”

The full experience offers “plenty of Chicago’s finest pizza” and “a candlelit dinner of microwavable Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.” There will also be a meet-and-greet with a tarantula and a LEGO Ideas Home Alone set gift. McCallister went on to say, “We may all be older and wiser now, but we’re never too old for holiday hijinks,” adding, “So this year, spend the holidays not-so-home-alone at my parents’ house.”

Booking requests will open on December 7 at 1 p.m. CT. Head over to Airbnb to find out more and check out the home for a ride down memory lane. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more unique travel destinations coming very soon.
