Stop & Stay | The Raya Heritage Hotel

Situated along the Ping River in Chiang Mai is a great retreat worth your time and attention. Dubbed the Raya Heritage Hotel, the property borrows from the ancient Lanna culture. In doing so, it creates a river sanctuary that is a perfect retreat from our hectic modern lives. Bangkok architect Boonlert Hemvijitraphan designed this boutique hotel. Guests are treated to a modern take on traditional design, which seamlessly blends the old with the new.

The hotel features rows of white columns that are topped with terracotta roofs. This feature forms a series of open-air spaces that connect seamlessly to the landscape. The 33 minimalist guest rooms feature handcrafted furniture and natural textiles from local artisans. They are also host to private terraces with water views for a relaxing and enjoyable retreat. The on-site restaurant references northern Thai rice farmers, incorporating the local culture in the process. These unique details further add to the aesthetic and charm of the property.

Take a closer look inside this incredible retreat in the images below and book your stay at the Raya Heritage Hotel immediately. In the meantime, stay tuned with The Culture Curators for more exceptional travel destinations coming very soon.
