Storage With Space | The Amagansett Modular House

When we think of homes in the Hamptons, we think classic architecture and Summer home’s on the beach. The creative minds over at MB Architecture are changing everything about the Hamptons with the Amagansett Modular House. This unique Summer home is far from your traditionally built home. The design is crafted from a series of converted shipping containers. A total of six containers were prefabricated off-site and then assembled at the location.

The dwelling is situated around an existing oak tree. The stacked volumes offer 1,800 square feet of living space that includes four bedrooms, three baths, and a spacious living room. The expansive glazing fills the home with ample natural light, making the 17-foot walls of the living area seem even larger.

The exterior boasts a corrugated metal facade that is painted black to fade into the landscape. The interiors have a bright, airy aesthetic thanks to the white walls. The glazing of the home connects the interior to the outdoors, highlighting the views in the process. The rooms also expand out to a poolside terrace.

Take a closer look at this beautiful modern dwelling in the images below and find out more about the home from MB Architecture. In the meantime, stay tuned with The Culture Curators for more modern architecture coming very soon.
