size? and Adidas Originals have released the stunning second installment of their joint “Anniversary City Series.” After a successful debut of the Liverpool release, they’re back with the Cordoba. Following the twin city theme from the previous “City Series,” the Cordoba honors the Manchester release from 2010. For those of you unfamiliar with the city, Cordoba lies within the Andalusia region of southern Spain and is renowned for its annual flower festival. Known colloquially as the “Battle of the Flowers,” each May, the Mediterranean city’s courtyards and patios burst into bloom with purple Carnation petals.
For the Cordoba-themed sneaker, size? and adidas Originals paid tribute to the city’s “Battle of the Flowers” annual festival through a bold purple suede upper. Other features of the sneaker include gold lettering on the sidewall and a footbed design that references the Manchester’s blue and red color palette. The sneakers are finished with gold “1/2020” detailing on the heel. A classic gum rubber sole provides the perfect pedestal for the tribute to sit upon.
As the rest of the series rolls out, theculturecurators.com will bring you the updates on this and other trends in the footwear world. Keep an eye on the #lifestyle tab for our favorite drops from the fashion industry.
