The good folks over at Comme des Garçons PLAY are back in the news. Today they return with a brand new collaboration with the good folks over at Converse. The two have aligned to create a duo of new Jack Purcell collaborations. Both brands are known for their eye-catching collaborations and they are back with a brand new take on the classic Jack Purcell.
This marks the first time that the Rei Kawakubo-helmed label has worked on the silhouette in nearly a decade. This time around the canvas uppers are clad with a “Drizzle” backdrop and come complemented with “Egret” shoe laces and rubber toe caps. The sneakers are also adorned with CDG‘s heart-and-eyes logos on the heels and side paneling. One pair comes in black, the other in red, while accenting details on the midsole add a nice dose of color. The sneakers are finished off with rubber midsoles and chevron-patterned treading, complimenting the “Egret” skins in the process.
