Style For The Future | PUMA’s New Sustainable Line With First Mile

The good folks over at PUMA are stepping into the future. The global sportswear brand is launching its first sustainable activewear line co-created with First Mile. The new PUMA x FIRST MILE collection is comprised of performance apparel and footwear for both men and women. The range includes a selection of products that have been crafted from recycled yarn that is manufactured from plastic bottles. Each piece is designed for maximum performance during any workout.

All of the apparel is made of at least 83% to 100% sustainable yarn sourced from First Mile. The PUMA x FIRST MILE product made for 2020 will divert over 40 tons of plastic waste from landfills and oceans. In case you’re wondering, that is roughly 1.9+ million plastic bottles being reused. The collection is also rooted in social impact and human connection.

First Mile is a people-focused network that strengthens micro-economies in Haiti, Honduras, and Taiwan. They do so by collecting plastic bottles to create sustainable jobs and reduce environmental waste. The debut collection includes a bevy of options. We see everything from performance tees and leggings to PUMA’s signature LQD CELL footwear styles.

Take a closer look at this eye-catching new collection in the images below and look for the range on PUMA.com, PUMA stores, and select retailers worldwide. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more style, sports, and culture coming soon.
