Style & Sound | J Balvin Reveals His Colorful Air Jordan 1 Collaboration

Hours after news came down that J Balvin would be performing during the Halftime Show at Super Bowl LIV, he added something new to his sneaker collection. Known for his colorful sounds, his bold style, and striking appeal, J Balvin took to the interwebs to reveal his debut Air Jordan 1 collaboration. The sneaker was inspired by Balvin’s personal style, offering a perfect match with plenty of thematic details. The sneaker features the legendary AJ1 as the base, which then gets a bespoke upgrade like we’ve never imagined.

The sneakers boast a striking rainbow gradient along the textured upper, stretching from heel to toe. This is contrasted by a white midsole, providing something clean and eye-catching in the process. The artist is the first Latino artist to collaborate on the iconic silhouette. The Air Jordan 1 also features raw-hemmed edges at nearly every seam, while a jagged black outline is seen around the swoosh. The kicks are finished off with Balvin’s Happy Face logo towards the heel and on the tongue of the left sneaker.

Check out this eye-catching and colorful collaboration in the image up top and look for much more from J Balvin and the Jordan Brand coming very soon. In the meantime, stay tuned with The Culture Curators for all the best in new footwear arriving soon.
