Stylish Homage | adidas & Foot Locker Celebrate Marvel’s 80th Anniversary

For eight decades Marvel has kept comic book fans in awe with some incredible storylines. To celebrate Marvel’s 80th anniversary, Foot Locker and adidas have come together for something special. Today we get our first look at an exclusive range of AM4 silhouettes to celebrate the comic book giant’s anniversary. The sneakers come designed alongside Marvel Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada. The collection features two adidas SPEEDFACTORY AM4 models. We see the “Marvel x Foot Locker x adidas AM4 Marvel 80 Vol. 1” and the “Marvel x Foot Locker x adidas AM4 Marvel 80 Vol. 2.”

The former comes rocking a warmed Marvel logo accompanied by Ben Day dots and the number 80. The latter comes rocking Marvel corner boxes featuring some of the publisher’s most iconic characters. We see Captain America and Spider-Man, as well as others. Speaking about the collaboration, Quesada opened up. He stated: “some of the true joys of my career at Marvel are all the unique opportunities that have come my way, things that I could never have anticipated being a part of like creating two different, exclusive sneaker designs for adidas and Foot Locker celebrating Marvel’s 80th anniversary.” He followed up with “I had such a blast designing them, and I hope Marvel and Adidas fans have as much fun wearing them.”

Fans will be able to pick up the Locker x Marvel x Adidas AM4 “80th Anniversary” sneakers during the 2019 New York Comic-Con. They are set to arrive at Foot Locker’s 34th St. Herald Square location on Friday, October 4th. Look for a wider release two weeks later on Friday, October 18th over at FootLocker.com.
