Summer Walker – ‘Over It’

2019 has been quite the year for Summer Walker. After dropping off a single that women everywhere immediately fell for and a co-sign from Drake, Summer has certainly made plenty of noise this year. Today the songstress is back, unleashing her debut album entitled ‘Over It.’ The new opus arrives almost a year to the day after her Last Day of Summer project. The album is her official debut, and she doesn’t disappoint.

The album was executive produced by London On Da Track, who helped craft a stellar sounding LP in the process. The project comes locked in with eighteen tracks. The album includes standout singles, “Playing Games,” “Stretch You Out,” and the “Girls Need Love (Remix)”. Summer Walker shows off her range and depth, providing an infectious, soulful, and highly addictive new album. Along the way, she gets features from the likes of Drake, Bryson Tiller, Usher, 6LACK, Jhené Aiko, PartyNextDoor, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. Summer does her thing and does it well, creating a solid body of work that showcases her sound flawlessly.

Some of our favorite singles include “Come Thru,” “Fun Girl,” “Me,” “I Like It,” and “Off of You”. This is one project we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on. Do yourself a favor and check out the new LP in the stream below. While you’re here, be sure to check out the latest installment of our weekly playlist, ‘A Curation of Sound.’
