It’s been a few months since we got some new music from SZA. Today the songstress returns, unleashing a brand new single for our listening enjoyment called “I Hate U.” The track was originally released back in August as part of a trio of new tracks that SZA unleashed on her “private” Soundcloud.
The single, along with “Nightbird” and “Joni,” gained traction, and now we get to check out the mixed and mastered version. “I Hate U” finds SA showing off her vocal prowess yet again, getting an incredibly smooth backdrop to do her thing. Driven by these highly contagious melodies and snappy drum sections, SZA weaves together her wordplay and vocals, putting together something special for our listening enjoyment.
Though it’s been a minute since we got a new album from SZA, we hope this means more new music is on the horizon. Nothing has been mentioned as of yet, but we will certainly keep you in the know.
