Earlier this year T-Pain made his return with his long-awaited new album 1UP. Since then he’s been busy dropping videos from the project, as well as some new singles. Today T-Pain returns, linking up with the west coast representative G-Eazy for a contagious new single. The track is called “Girlfriend.” The single finds the fellas providing a solid dose of their respective talents, touching on an interesting topic.
T-Pain and G-Eazy bring the best of their abilities, showing out over top of production from A1 Bentley. “Girlfriend” is pushed by these slick, catchy melodic elements which are paired nicely with some crisp, energetic drums. The combination provides Teddy and Gerald with a nice home to do their thing. The duo do not let us down. The fellas trades bars about their “Girlfriend,” also speaking about the recruitment efforts for a second girlfriend to spice things up.
