Tech Specs | OnePlus Reveals 5G 8 Series Smartphones

Just over six months after announcing its 7T model, OnePlus is back at it again. This time around, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has unveiled its latest flagship 8 series. This marks the first full 5G line from the brand, offering modern connectivity in the process. The company has released two different models. OnePlus is set to release the Pro version and a smaller standard version.

The Pro iteration comes with a Snapdragon 865 processor and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. This works seamlessly with a 6.78-inch QHD+ Fluid Display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,300 nits max brightness. It’s also equipped with three separate rear cameras: a 48-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, and a telephoto camera with 30x digital and 3x hybrid zoom. The 8 Pro features a 4,510mAh battery supporting Warp Charge 30 Wireless charging. This means it can replenish up to 50 percent capacity in just 30 minutes. As for the standard 8 model, it features a slightly smaller 6.55-inch display while rocking a lower refresh rate of 90 Hz. It also features a smaller 4,300mAh battery and 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.

Pricing for the OnePlus 8 Pro will start at $900 USD while the standard starts at $700 USD. Head over to OnePlus to find out more. Keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more from the tech sector coming soon.
