Five years following the initial concept, Mercedes has revealed the finished version of the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE. The hypercar is Mercedes-AMG‘s latest display of performance and power. The ride blends the latest and most efficient Formula 1 hybrid tech with a street-legal design, pushing 1,063-horsepower with a hybrid powertrain. The vehicle boasts a turbocharged 1.6-liter V6 engine and four electric motors that result in a 0-62 mph time of just 2.9 seconds.
The One features a muscular design that is based on a simpe principle, “for each design detail to offer a specific benefit for the overall performance of the vehicle.” Proportions are based on a mid-engine concept, with large wheel arches, a wasp waist, and a dramatic roofline. The vehicle’s interior has a futuristic aesthetic with an authentic F1 feel. A carbon-fiber support structure accents the smooth contours, while racing seats feature yellow contrast stitching across magma gray surfaces. The first Mercedes-AMG One cars are slated for delivery towards the end of 2022. However, all production models have already been pre-ordered.
This stunning machine is just another example of AMG’s excellence in design, power, and performance.
