It’s about that time once again! It’s almost time for the 2019 MTV VMAs, and today MTV is back with some big news. Today we get a look at the full list of artists and celebrities set to take the stage at next week’s show. After previously announcing that Missy Elliott, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Lil Nas X, and many more would be performing. MTV has now shared a longer list of names.
The 2019 showcase will boast performance from Big Sean featuring A$AP Ferg, H.E.R., Normani, and Ozuna. On the presenter side of things, a who’s who of talented folks will hit the stage. Those include the US Women’s National Soccer Team players Alex Morgan, Ali Krieger, and Ashlyn Harris will be on hand. Other presenters include Megan Thee Stallion, Lenny Kravitz, Ice-T, Rick Ross, Salt-N-Pepa, Victor Cruz and more. This year will find a variety of accolades handed out as well. Including the show’s first female rapper, Missy Elliott, who will be given the Video Vanguard Award.
MTV also promisted this year’s show will tout an “epic hip-hop finale that will leave everyone talking”. The show is set to be hosted by comedian, actor, and author Sebastian Maniscalco. The 2019 MTV VMAs will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. It’s all set to take place on August 25 with a pre-show from 7-8 p.m. EST. The awards show officially kicks off at 8 p.m. EST.
