The Game – Stay Down Ft. Byrson Tiller

In case you didn’t know, this past Friday, The Game dropped off his latest opus. The project is called ‘Born 2 Rap’, and the wordsmith delivered something special. The album comes locked in with twenty-five tracks, and today we take a look at one standout in particular. This one is called “Stay Down” and finds The Game linking up with Louisville’s own, Bryson Tiller. The two artists bring their a-game and put together quite impressive.

The track finds The Game slowing things down for the ladies, showing off his lyrical prowess in the process. The track is driven by a smooth and familiar-sounding backdrop while the chorus even flips Big Pun’s “Don’t Wanna Be A Player.” Bryson Tiller holds down the lyrical side of things, showing off his style and delivery.

Bryson handles the chorus and opens things up crooning about his women in the process. Bryson sings: “Why you upset (Yeah), why you frownin’? (Why) Why you frownin’, why you down, and (Yeah) Niggas wildin’, love to waste time, and (That’s right) Play her like violin, I had to dial in.” This one is smooth and just one of many standouts from The Game’s latest opus.

Do yourself a favor and check out the new single in the stream below. Be sure to check out the rest of the album while you’re at it and be sure to check out the latest installment of our weekly playlist, ‘A Curation of Sound.’
