TDE’s very own, Punch is a busy man. Not only is he the head honcho of the label, but he’s also quite apt behind the mic as well. Today Punch is back, returning with something new for our listening enjoyment entitled “Curb My Enthusiasm.” The track finds the TDE President pairing up with The Ichiban Don for something quite unique, to say the least. Punch recently spoke about the inspiration for the track.
He stated: “I was in the X5, watching Larry David high, blowing haze like yo this n***a crazy.” The track has a laid back, spacey vibe that is quite contagious. As his verse continues, Don switches his flow, effortlessly doing so while switching between schemes effortlessly. Punch declares himself the best to do it, rapping, “In case anything goes wrong, we correct the problem with the proper response,” he warns, a reminder that he will throw it all away if need be. “I am the phantom of the opera, with no mask on.” He goes on to say, “That’ll curb your enthusiasm with dude in a double-R, Drag-On.” These two go rather well together and provide something special for our listening enjoyment.
