There is something inspiring and captivating about outstanding architecture. Today we get a look at a home that features a unique design that serves as a modern vacation home. The Dragonfly House sits on a hilltop plot overlooking Whitefish Lake, inspired by its namesake. The retreat sits on the edge of a pine forest and blends into its surroundings with effortless appeal.
The exterior is clad in reclaimed barn wood siding, blending seamlessly into the natural landscape in the process. The home’s interior is host to floor-to-ceiling glazing, supplying lake views from nearly every room in the house. The space can be turned into an open-air pavilion, expanding the area to a meadow courtyard on one side and a waterfront terrace on the other.
The space was once a former campsite for the owners, and it maintains this connection to nature with a series of outdoor areas. The property includes covered decks, a fire pit, and a hot pool, all connected by a pathway that begins at the driveway before ending at the lake.
