The New Normal! Honda Creates COVID-19 “Mask” For Vehicles

The good folks over at Honda are back at it. This time around, the automaker has created a mask for its fleet of vehicles. The Kurumask is made to fit over your existing cabin filter. The design features millions of micro zinc-phosphate thorns/barbs that catch and kill the COVID-19 virus.

The entire Honda Kurumask is safe to touch and was designed with the team at the Kitasato Research Center for Environmental Science. Honda indicates that the Kurumask originally was going to take several years to develop. However, due to the urgency of the ongoing pandemic, the project was expedited. The Kurumask can remove 99.8 percent of airborne COVID-19 droplets in fifteen minutes, and it’s good for 9,300 miles.

Check out the Kurumask in the image up top and head over to Honda to find out more. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more auto news coming very soon.
