The creative minds over at Lexus are back in a big way. Recently Lexus unveiled the Gamers’ IS, the first vehicle designed by and for the Twitch community. Designed as the ultimate gaming space, the vehicle was essentially designed through a Livestream hosted by popular streamer Fuse.
Over 554,000 unique viewers watched and weighed in on their favorite features, voting for modifications such as the exterior wrap, their “game fuel” beverage of choice, and more. Lexus then worked with the fabrication experts at SCPS to bring it to life. The car is draped in the “Infiltrate” design custom vinyl wrap inspired by a technical, interface-driven, HUD-centric design territory.
The interior features “Neon Tokyo” style with a striking Japanese pop art aesthetic. The ceiling is host to a clear acrylic layer embedded with resin “raindrops,” all backlit with programmable RGB LED lights. Behind the rear seats are LED panels that project programmable content onto the rear window, while Smart Tint on the windows dims the cabin for gameplay. A custom-built gaming PC with an MSI Gaming GeForce GPU + AMD CPU is located in the trunk, situated in a custom house highlighted by programmable LEDs.
The passenger’s side is an integrated gaming system complete with haptic feedback in the seat and a high-def, fully positional curved monitor. If that wasn’t enough, there is also a retractable keyboard and mouse platform and a one-of-a-kind 3D printed game controller. The six-drink center console cooler is the community’s “game fuel” of choice.
