The Sunday Service Choir – ‘Jesus Is Born’

Back in October, Kanye West announced that he would be releasing a follow-up to Jesus Is King. Well, Kanye is back, along with his Sunday Service Choir, unleashing a new project entitled ‘Jesus Is Born.’ The project dropped on Christmas, it’s actual intended day of release and without any delays. The project clocks in at around an hour and 24 minutes with a total of nineteen tracks. A number of the songs were performed live by Ye and the choir.

Those include “Ultralight Beam,” “Father Stretch,” and “Follow Me – Faith.” For the album, Ye provided special arrangements that are minimal in production, keeping the focus on the choir in the process. The album starts with “Count Your Blessings.” Elsewhere we get standouts like “Revelations 19:1” and “More than Anything,” as well as “Sunshine” and others. The project is the latest from Kanye, who had quite a busy year. The creative kept busy with his choir, hosting gospel services, across the country in various churches and venues.

Take a few minutes from your busy day and check out his latest project, ‘Jesus Is Born,’ in the stream below. In the meantime, be sure to check out the latest installment of our weekly playlist, ‘A Curation of Sound.’
