The Surly Crab Beach House

We’re big fans of unique design and incredible architecture. The Surly Crab Beach House is located on the shore of the Hood Canal. The modern dwelling offsets the rugged terrain, doing so with sleek forms and boxy features. The contemporary home is made of concrete, steel, and glass, divided into three volumes.

The main living area is situated closest to the beach, taking over the site of a former fishing cabin. The guest wing and primary suite are near the back on the edge of the tree line. Each area is connected with a glazed walkway that offers unrivaled views of the forest in the back and the water ahead.

Take a closer look inside this beautiful modern home in the images below and find out more about Eerkes Architects. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more outstanding architecture coming very soon.
