The Tech Sector | Apple Introduces COVID-19 Screening App & Website

The creative minds over at Apple have launched a new app-based around the coronavirus COVID-19. The new app aims to help people maintain safe practices amid the global spread of the virus. The app focuses on screening COVID-19, offering an online tool that provides details about the disease. There are also simple, comprehensive instructions on when to get tested or seek medical care.

Sure, Apple does not specialize in the medical field. However, the screening tool was made in collaboration with the CDC, FEMA, and the White House. Visitors will answer a range of questions that encompass everything from noticeable symptoms to recent travels. Upon finishing the simple questions, a set of suggested steps will assist you in making the next move. The screening tool was “built to keep all user data private and secure,” notes Apple. They added, “The tools do not require a sign-in or association with a user’s Apple ID, and users’ individual responses will not be sent to Apple or any government organization.”

The coronavirus self-screening tool can be downloaded as an app from the US App Store, or you can find it via Apple’s official COVID-19 website. Keep it locked for much more on this coming very soon.
