Toyota is always looking toward the future for inspiration. Today they are back, doing exactly that with the Toyota Compact Cruiser EV. This concept vehicle may just be the future of the Land Cruiser, serving as the third iteration of the iconic FJ. The Toyota Compact Cruiser EV is an electric SUV that borrows extensive design cues from the original Land Cruiser. The vehicle includes a boxy look with plastic flares covering the wheels.
The Cruiser is outfitted with a ladder on the C-pillar and other details that offer a rugged, tough aesthetic that harkens back to the first-gen Land Cruiser. The company has not provided any power specs or technical details, though we know it will feature all-wheel drive. The design took home the prestigious 2022 Car Design Award at the Milano Design Week.
