The Weeknd Reveals ‘Dawn FM’ Dropping Friday

It’s Monday, but The Weeknd is almost here. Today singer-songwriter is back in the news, and today he has announced this his new album Dawn FM will arrive on Friday, January 7th. The artist shared an official trailer for the follow-up to 2020s After Hours, which shows him taking on a whole new persona. He also takes the opportunity to introduce “a new sonic universe from the mind of The Weeknd.”

The visual also reveals a number of artists who will feature on the album, including Tyler, the Creator, Lil Wayne, Quincy Jones, Oneohtrix Point Never, and actor Jim Carrey. The trailer ends with a voiceover that says, “You are now listening to 103.5: Dawn FM. You’ve been in the dark for way too long; it’s time to walk into the light and accept your fate with open arms.” The Weeknd also took to Instagram to tease the project, writing, “Music can heal, and that feels more important than another album rollout. Let’s just drop the whole thing and enjoy it with the people.”
