THEY. are back! After nearly two years away from music, the alt-R&B duo known as THEY. are back. The duo has returned with a brand new single, unleashing a smooth new effort titled “BLÜ MOON.” The track is their first release of 2022, and it’s one we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on.
Dante Jones recently opened up about the track stating: “We’ve definitely grown and matured throughout our career, but ‘Blü Moon’ is about those moments where we still find ourselves falling victim to temptation.” The artist went on to add, “Also, nostalgia is at the core of everything we do musically and visually throughout the span of our career, so the video draws from the classic films of the late 70s and early 80s while still calling back to the R&B videos of the 90s and 00s.”
The track has a contagious sound that is driven by smooth melodies and these fresh, classic-sounding drum sections. The combination provides the duo with an incredible home to do their thing. The track was produced by Dante Jones and Caleb Contreras while co-produced by Troy Taylor. The fellas put together something smooth and showcase their style flawlessly once again.
