THEY. are back! Today the group returns with another new single, linking up with Tinashe once again. The two have established quite a working relationship, linking up for a remix of her Songs For You single “Hopscotch.” This time around, they are back, unleashing a smooth new single that we can’t seem to get enough of. The new single is called “Play Fight” and finds the team providing us with something exceptional, to say the least.
THEY. recently spoke about working together with Tinashe. The group stated: “We’re always trying to channel the energy of the songs I grew up with into something fresh and new.” They went on to add, “This one definitely draws from a lot of the feel-good summer records from the early ’00s.” The new single, “Play Fight,” finds all of the artists involved bringing their a-game and serving up something highly contagious. THEY. went on to say, “We love songs that have both the male and female perspective, like Ja Rule and Ashanti, or Nelly and Kelly Rowland.”
The artists added, “We’ve been fans of Tinashe for a minute, and once she sent her verse back over to us, we knew we had something special.” The new single, “Play Fight,” is expected to live on their forthcoming project, The Amanda Tape, which is slated to drop later in 2020.
