This Is E-Speed | Porsche Debuts The All-Electric Taycan Turbo

The good folks over at Porsche are diving into the deep end of the electric car market. After years of concept designs, rumors and more, the German automaker has unveiled its first all-electric car, a production version of the Taycan. Originally dubbed the “Mission E,” the Taycan sports car will arrive in two variations. Porsche will unleash the Taycan Turbo and the Taycan Turbo S.

Both vehicles come equipped with all-wheel drive and plenty of power which equates to a 0-60 mph time of just 2.6 seconds or less. The car is capable of a top speed of 161 mph while coming with a range of modern details throughout. The Taycan will boast a fast-charging battery that can reportedly charge up to 80% in 22.5 minutes. The official range on the Taycan hasn’t been confirmed just yet, but Porsche expects it to be around 250 miles. Each model comes with a hefty price tag, coming in at $150,900 and $185,000, respectively. This is much higher than the premium price of the Tesla Model S. The Taycan is a look into the future from Porsche, offering exceptional speed and futuristic design cues.
