This Is Modern Living | The Sagaponac House

As you can probably tell by now, The Culture Curators are drawn to unique, modern, and eye-catching designs in general. Architecture is certainly one of them and today we get a prime example of why we’re so drawn to modern design. The Sagaponac House is the brainchild of developer Harry “Coco” Brown and architect Richard Meier. The modern home is part of a development in The Hamptons, which was first started in early 2000.

The Sagaponac House

While the project originally had plans for 32 homes, only eight houses were completed. One of them is this, the Sagaponac House. The home itself was designed by architects Calvin Tsao and Zack McKown. The dwelling is a 4,500-square-foot contemporary design with a cube-like approach. The home is host to a number of private living spaces that are spread throughout the design. The timber tower boasts an elevator which leads to the five bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms.

The main structure sits on a horizontal volume. Here we find the communal and public spaces, which open to a beautiful pool and patio space. The home is exceptional for entertaining, providing plenty of outdoor space and seating. The expansive glazing and sliding glass doors expand the interior to the 60-foot swimming pool and sun deck. The house sits on 1.36 acres, offering a secluded and private nod that adds to its charm.

Take a closer look at this beautiful modern home in the images below and find out more about the dwelling from Brown Harris Stevens. Place your bid, pack your bags, and keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more modern architecture and design coming soon.
