If you haven’t yet gotten familiar with the sounds and talents of TOBi, you are missing out. The artist made his return to the interwebs this weekend, doing so with a brand new single for our listening pleasures. This time around, TOBi pairs up with Mick Jenkins for an interesting and intriguing new track.
The single is called “Off The Drugs,” in which both artists showcase their effortless appeal and undeniable talents. Tobi recently opened up about the track and its inspiration. He stated: “When I smoke, I see things clearer, and I’m way more aware. So I’m intentional about how I use it. I think more money should go into researching things like cannabis and mushrooms for their healing properties.”
The artist went on to add, “Just the way I look at it, so many things are actually drugs—alcohol, gambling, even social media because it affects brain chemistry, but all that sh*it is legal. Whereas things that can legitimately heal if properly understood and done correctly are stigmatized, it’s wild. Mick came thru and bodied the verse as he should, and we’ve got a video on the way too. I just wanna live life to the fullest and enjoy this while it lasts. Life to me is a good trip if you let it be.”
No word on where this one may end up, but it’s certainly one worth adding to your listening selection. Check out the impressive and contagious new single in the stream below. While you’re at it, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for all the best new music coming soon.
