Total Transformations | Owl’s Head Mountain Barn Conversion

Among all of the modern and contemporary architecture seen in our feed, we like to showcase older designs as well. Today we get a look at a beautiful structure that comes built from the ruins of an aged agrarian outbuilding. While still a modern design these days, the home retrains an old school home that is eye-catching and welcoming. Dubbed the Owl’s Head Mountain Barn Conversion, this dwelling is a beautiful secondary residence.

The beautiful barn conversion is located in Quebec, situated in a secluded, pristine location with a rural aesthetic. Every piece of the original structure was salvaged, numbered, and reinstalled. This ensured the agricultural integrity intact, while a new standing seam metal roof brings a modern touch. The weathered facade is unique and eye-catching, fitting in seamlessly with its surroundings. The exterior may have its rural roots, but the interior showcases a modern allure. The whitewashed walls, marble finishes, and steel-frame windows transform the design, updating it in the process.

The existing wood beams offer a natural divide among the open living spaces, while the 30-foot ceilings make room for the expansive glazing. The living area provides unrivaled views of the rustic surroundings, supplying a great place to kick back and relax.

Take a look at the stunning structure in the images below and head over to La Firme to learn more about it now.
