Tough On Time | G-SHOCK Reveals A Carbon Core Timepiece

One of the most easily recognized watch designs in the world remains the G-Shock from Casio. A rugged workhorse known for its ability to take whatever the wearer can throw at it. If there ever were a fault with the G-Shock line, it would maybe be that giant battle-ready weight and bulk. Casio knows the urban adventurer may be interested in shedding some of that bulk. Doing so without sacrificing the function we’ve come to love from the brand that brought us the calculator watch.

The G-SHOCK GA2100 has a slimmer case that’s only 11.8mm thin for a more subtle aesthetic compared to most of the brand’s offerings. While some of the over-style points may be missing, none of the functionality has been trimmed. The hybrid 200-meter water-resistant GA2100 features world time with 31 timezones, and five alarms. The timepiece also boasts chronograph functionality, an automatic calendar, shock-resistance, and three-year battery life. A carbon core guard construction featuring a carbon composite bumper has been designed for superior durability. It’s a go for night ops as well.

The G-SHOCK GA2100 has a Super Illuminator Double LED Light, so you won’t have to rely on moon tracking for coordinating exfiltration after the light conditions go dark. The Casio G-SHOCK GA2100 is available in three colorways.

A covert all black, a flashier black and silver, and a personal favorite solid red are all ready compliment whatever outfit you’ve got in mind. They’re available at Casio retailers and G-Shock online.
