Track Your Travels! LEGO Art Reveals The World Map Kit

The good folks over at LEGO are back at it. This time around, they return with a massive new kit that features the most pieces ever included in a set. The World Map comes from LEGO Art, allowing builders to create a map of Earth with 2D Lego tiles. Created with adults in mind, the kit features 11,695 pieces.

It even comes with a soundtrack featuring stories from travel experts, including Torbjørn C. Pedersen. Fiorella Groves, Creative Lead for LEGO Art, spoke about the World Map. Groves stated: “We know that our adult fans love to travel, but many haven’t been able to do so for over a year now. We thought that there was no better way of helping explore the world while relaxing in the comfort of their home than by allowing them to build, rebuild, plan and reminisce through building. We hope the LEGO Art World Map will inspire new adventures in some and help others relive and celebrate wonderful travel memories from the past.”

The set also features 40 interconnecting base plates that can be arranged in three different ways. There are colored LEGO brick “Pins” for marking destinations, a coffee-table style instruction booklet, and a white brick-built frame, as well as two hanging elements.

Take a closer look at the LEGO Art World Map and pick yours up today at LEGO’s online store. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more from the design side of things coming soon.
