The boys are back! Today the smooth sounds of Tuxedo are back as Mayer Hawthorne, and Jake One return with some new listening material. The duo drops off, not one, but two new singles, linking up with CeeLo Green and Tony! Toni! Tone! in the process. The new tracks arrive after the duo recreated a handful of classic album covers in their latest video. Now the groovy duo serves up two new contagious singles. The first, “Get The Money” finds Tuxedo linking up with CeeLo Green.
As funky as expected, the track is pushed by this highly addictive backdrop while Mayer and Hawthorne showcase their respective talents flawlessly. “Own Thing” finds Jake and Mayer doing their thing along with Tony! Toni! Toné!, getting quite an instrumental to excel upon. The two new tracks are just the latest from Tuxedo, arriving ahead of Mayer Hawthorne’s next solo album. The two new tracks were released as a limited edition 7″, which can be acquired here. These two singles are certainly nothing to sleep on and certainly worth adding to your listening selection.
