They’re back! For the past several months, Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One have been unleashing a barrage of funky, contagious new singles under their moniker, Tuxedo. The LA-based crooner and the Seattle producer are back, linking up for another installment of their Tuxedo project, cooking up an impressive array of new material.
The new project, aptly titled ‘Tuxedo III,’ finds Mayer and Jake bringing their a-game, serving up eleven new tracks packed full of groovy, addictive and soulful new material. Along the way, the duo links up with an impressive list of guests along the way, including MF DOOM, DāM-FunK, Benny Sings, Leven Kali, Parisalexa, Gabriel Garzón-Montana, Battlecat, and Gavin Turek. The eleven-track project includes standout singles such as “Vibrations,” “You & Me,” “On A Good One,” and more. However, our favorites include “OMW” with Leven Kali and Battlecat, “If U Want It,” “Toast 2 Us” with Benny Sings, and “The Tuxedo Way.”
The duo bring us something refreshing and smooth, soulful and sexy, providing another solid dose of their incredible and respective abilities along the way. This is certainly not the one to sleep on.
