We love the idea of living life on the water. Today we get a look at a unique way to do precisely that. Today we get a look at a unique design known as the Ocean Cabin. Designed to be a remote getaway like none other, the project is the concept of Sri Lankan-based architect and 3D artist Thilina Liyanage. The Ocean Cabin is envisioned as an oceanfront retreat that is situated on a massive rock. The design features a shelter at the top, while a series of stairs wrap around the giant rock.
The walkway ends at a beautiful A-frame situated on a foundation of stilts. The compact cab features an open living space with a sleeping area located above. The structure features a triangular wall of glazing and skylight at the peak that seemingly removes the boundaries between inside and out. The Ocean Cabin is undoubtedly unique and an escape like we’ve never seen before.
