The good folks over at Toyota are back with a look into the future. This time around, the automaker is back with a first look at the latest version of the off-road-focused Tacoma TRD Pro. For 2022 Toyota has provided some substantial upgrades over the previous model.
The 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro comes rocking a higher ride height thanks to a 1.5-inch lift in the front and half an inch at the rear. The ride also has an improved break-over angle versus the outgoing TRD. The new TRD-tuned Fox shocks with internal bypass coupled with forged aluminum upper control arms improve on and off-road handling, using all of the available suspension travel in the process.
Power comes from a 3.5-liter V6 that pushes 278 horsepower while mated to either a true six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. Toyota has even stepped up the exterior, offering the truck in an exclusive Electric Lime Metallic, which adds to the collection of Super White, Magnetic Gray Metallic, and Midnight Black Metallic exterior colors.
