Always looking to take things to the next level, Leica returns with a new camera for the fans. The SL2-S camera is a full-frame camera that aims to capture stunning still photography while also creating impressive motion pictures. The SL2-S arrives following the release of the brand’s Q2 Monochrom.
The Leica SL2-S features a 24-megapixel CMOS-BSI sensor and two separate recording modes for photos and videos. The device offers premium quality and features an all-metal build for added durability. In terms of specs, the camera provides burst rates of up to 25 frames per second at full resolution. It also boasts high sensitivity of up to ISO 100,000, which is paired with speedy autofocus. The SL2-S also features in-body image stabilization.
On the video side of things, the camera shoots 10-bit 4:2:2 videos with frame rates of up to 60 fps. It also provides videographers control over color quality and post-processing grading. As of now, the SL2-S is available for purchase at authorized Leica dealers for $4,895 USD.
