When we hear Mercedes-Benz, we think luxury, craftsmanship, and comfort. When we hear Mercedes-AMG, we think speed, power, performance, paired seamlessly with the qualities mentioned before. AMG is back, and with them, they bring a glimpse into the future. Today we get a look at the 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe. This stunning machine is a new addition to the AMG lineup.
The ride is based on the new 2020 GLE, boasting a shortened wheelbase by 2.4 inches and much more. The ride is boasts a fastback roofline and the signature grille, as seen on the AMG GT. Of course, this machine is focused on power. Under the hood of the GLE 53 is a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six making 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of twist. It’s grounded thanks to 21-inch wheels, while managed via a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The variable damping, ride-height, and active roll stabilization allow the ride to stay safely on the ground and pushing forward. Even more exciting is the fact that a more powerful AMG GLE 63 will be coming as well.
