Updates x Upgrades | The Vagabund V10 BMW R100R Motorcycle

If you take “The Ultimate Riding Machine” to the drawing board as your jump-off point, you better be good. Well Vagabund, an Austria-based custom motorcycle shop, is damn good. The V10 is their latest addition to an already impressive resume. The V10 was once a 1993 R100R, but that wasn’t quite good enough. Vagabund turned the BMW classic R-series motorcycle into a modern performance cafe racer with an incredible use of vintage-inspired lines. A bare frame was the only surviving stock component.

After a complete teardown, everything from the engine to the front forks were stripped and rebuilt. The aggressive road-hugging stance was dialed in by cutting almost three inches out of the forks before powder coating them satin black and adding new fork boots. A 3D printed rear cowling with an LED tail light covers an updated minimalist subframe. Michelin Pilot Activ tires were chosen to wrap the refurbished stock wheels for a grip capable of handling mountainous Alpine switchbacks and historic city streets.

Vagabund’s V10 is a stunning example of yet another modern interpretation of an acclaimed classic. For more info on Vagabund’s upgrade to ultimate visit Vagabund’s website and behold the art that rolls through their shop.
